Hi, I’m Molly Stanfield—a filmmaker, photographer, and writer drawn to immersive, thought-provoking stories that leave a lasting impact.
I’m currently finishing my BA in Radio/Television/Film and Cultural Anthropology at Northwestern University, where I’ve built a strong foundation in cinematography, photography, producing, and digital marketing. My background in anthropology, photojournalism, and folklore deeply influences my creative approach, adding cultural depth and emotional resonance to my work.
I’ve worked as a photographer for Northwestern’s Student Affairs Marketing, captured stories as a study abroad media photographer in Scandinavia, and served as a cinematographer and producer on multiple student short films.
As Treasurer of the Northwestern University Women Filmmakers Alliance, I’ve helped manage grants and support student productions, always aiming to uplift underrepresented voices in storytelling — whether I’m behind the camera or on the page, I strive to craft stories that challenge perspectives, evoke emotion, and linger in the mind long after they’re told.
